Change the world in 5 simple steps. Musings of an impatient shopper

I've taken a break from blogging lately since I do have the tendency to overcomplicate most things, including things I seem to enjoy most...which is a bit of a shame.

In any case, I had a small idea about something I could write fairly quickly which I could get out there before the other half of my mind had the chance to have an editing frenzy. And so I present to you 5 steps for global transformation in less than 5 minutes. Be aware the core of this was composed while waiting to return an item this afternoon so isn't tried tested and/or proven. But I firmly believe i everything I've written nonetheless. And you don't have to.

make of this what you will

  1. Accept you can't change the worl

pretty morbid sounding hey? but bear with. All i'm meaning to say here is the obvious fact that the world progresses but it never, like the people on it, ever REALLY changes. This rather than to discourage is meant to encourage the fight and struggle because sometimes in lots of things, the diffference is made by the fact that we've tried to make a difference. I'd elaborate further but I have an early shift tomorrow :D

2. Become more fully yourself

Clichéd if anything ever was, but it's true that we change the world by being exactly who we are, we are an ingredient like no other andwe're essential. I beieve that as many years there are to our lives are years and days to discover more fully the complex nature of who we are. We can always uncover new things about ourselves. Please don't try to copy others; you're doing the world a HUGE disservice. Again could elaborate but that early shift threatens.

3. Value everybody around you

Also extremely clichéd but I sswear by this with my life. People are gifts, they're just hard to unwrap most of the time but we need to try for their sake and our own. In them is a piece of ourselves we'd never see w/o them and vice versa. People are truly the best.

4. See the good in every situation, take everything as a gift

Since I"m tired I'm gonna be frank and say that I can't understand people who complain about everything in their life as if they were born deserving it. The fact the population's lungs haven't collapsed yet because of a transient issue with atmospheric pressure is enough to be grateful for. I know a lot of places out there where barometric stability isn't a way of life (I actually don't but yes, endemic pneumothorax was the best I could come up with apparently). Look we can't really control much in life but we can control our responses to things thrown at us. It's a muscle and the more we work it, the better the lift. But if you could be happy with nothing wouldn't you rather be than to be miserable with everything imaginable.

5. Do all things with excellence

Every single little eenswy weensy thing can be improved upon from the way we write, to the way we close doors, to the way we hang our washing or order coffeee or fold tissues when we blow our noses (I'm using real life, contemporaneous examples if you can't tell ;)

The truth is, we're pretty insignificant and not a lot of what we do will be remembered or recognised by others. For most of us. The answer: just rub it in the cosmos' face and do everything super well anyway. We're a lot better and happier people when we use our talents for the good of society without wish of recognition or even of being able to see the fruits of our efforts within our lifetimes. The funny thing is, it does seem that the very people who realise this, mind their own beeswax aand get on with their business get caught off guard being awarded nobel peace prizes they feel that they don't deserve.

Believe it or not i wrote this in less than an hour . (for context this is about a literal 36th). It will truly be a miracle if I don't take this down to edit so enjoy the grammar issues while they last and the fact that I actually submitted something

Peace out xoxoxo :D
